Ignorance is Bliss??

Someone once said, "Ignorance is bliss." Is it? If you don't know that you don't know, you'll be content knowing not that you know not. One definition of pride is an over estimation of oneself. In the case of blissful ignorance it is overestimating the knowledge one has. What's the cure? Lao Tzu once said a very long time ago, "Humility is the foundation of learning." So, let Humility be thy goal. This is not particularly easy to do but if we don't, life often has its way of humbling us. If we already think we know something even when we don't, there will be no motivation to learn what we don't know. We will remain content in our ignorance. How can YOU be certain that what you believe is true; actually factual?

"Certainty" may be one of the most elusive concepts on the planet, maybe even the Universe. Quantum physics has been around since the early 1900's in various forms and degrees of maturity. Perhaps "probability" is the closest we can ever get to "certainty".

I don't see it's relevance here either.

Sorry.
